Leviticus 22:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons to be very careful with the sacred gifts that the Israelites set apart for me, so they do not bring shame on my holy name. I am the Lord.

As the Church, we have a responsibility to treat tithes and offerings as holy, sacred, set apart for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.  We are to be good stewards, as it all belongs to the Lord.

The truth is, EVERYTHING belongs to Him. Silverio, the master electrician working on 525 with us, he and I were talking yesterday about this very concept. “This work van is the Lord’s. These are the Lord’s ladders. These are the Lord’s tools.  We are the Lord’s hands and feet.  Our wisdom and knowledge all come from Him. Everything belongs to the Lord.”

So, what do we do with this truth? Treat everything as a good steward should, as belonging to our Lord, set apart for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. We do that, we start there, everything else will begin to line up.
