Psalm 119:77 New Living Translation (NLT)

77 Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live,
for your instructions are my delight.

Psalm 119 happened to be part of my reading this morning.  It is such a beautiful prayer, proclaimed how wonderful God’s word is, how much we love Him and His word, and how we long to be in His word and remain obedient and surrendered to it.  How is word is the very breath of life, our source of joy!  I encourage you to read through it.

Reading prayers like this out of Psalms, aloud over yourself, is such an awesome way to start the day.  There’s something about the spoken word… when our physical ears hear the words spoken… words of truth and affirmation, straight from God’s word… something happens in our spiritual ears.  When we hear ourselves proclaim truth, it gets into our souls, and it takes root.

Let me encourage you today: let your ears hear you proclaim some truth today over you and your family’s life!  Make His instructions your delight.  You will be glad you did.
