Mad bro?

Proverbs 19:3 (NLT)

People ruin their lives by their own foolishness
and then are angry at the Lord.

Yep… that pretty much sums it up.  It’s funny to me, but we haven’t really changed that much since God breathed life into Adam, have we?  We get ourselves into all sorts of difficulties, consequences of our bad choices, then we want to get all mad at God for the predicament we find ourselves in.  It’s been the same story since the beginning.

But there can be a different outcome.  We can turn to the Lord with a humble heart, ask for and receive His forgiveness, then learn from our mistakes and walk forward in His mercy and grace.  Sure, getting angry about our situation is a natural response, and God knows that. But He’s patient.  He’s there waiting for us to take His hand.
